The upload is rejected

The component accepts image files. A PDF or other file type shows an error on the screen. Ask the person to choose a photo.

The original huge file is what got stored

The resize happens in the browser, before Flow advances. If a later step stores a different variable, or the screen outputs were never mapped, Salesforce can still receive the original. Map imageData64 into Save Content Version, not an unprocessed upload field.

A smaller target width and height, and a compression quality below 1, make a smaller file. Results still depend on the photo.

The file never appears on the record

• Parent Record Id must be the record that should hold the file.
• File Base64 and File Name both have to be filled.
• The running user needs permission to run three_levers.CreateContentVersion.
• If error on the screen is not blank, the image never processed. Fix that before the save action.

The preview looks stretched

Turn on Preserve aspect ratio so the preview fits inside the preview width and height.
