Troubleshooting

Blank iframe or refuses to display

Section titled “Blank iframe or refuses to display”
  • Check Salesforce clickjack/CSP settings for your external domain.
  • Verify Site URL uses /apex/three_levers__FlowIframeEmbed and the page is public.
  • Confirm parent page is embedding the Site URL (not an internal Salesforce URL).

Flow does not start

Section titled “Flow does not start”
  • flow must be the API Developer Name, not the flow label.
  • Confirm the flow is activated.
  • Confirm guest user has access to flow resources.

Inputs missing in the flow

Section titled “Inputs missing in the flow”
  • Include inputVars with exact param names.
  • Names are case-sensitive and must match flow variable API names.
  • Values in params are only passed when key is listed in inputVars.

Page does not scroll to the flow

Section titled “Page does not scroll to the flow”

Next and Previous send frameScroll: 'top' so the parent page scrolls to the iframe. Other buttons do not. A manual embed needs a listener for that message. The WordPress plugin (1.1.4+) and the JavaScript widget do this for you.

If a fixed header still covers the top of the flow, set scrollOffset (WordPress) or scrollOffset on window.tlFlowEmbed. That value stays on the parent page. It is not an iframe URL parameter.

Button colors did not change

Set primary, primaryHover, and secondary on the JavaScript widget or in Settings → Lightning Flow iFrame (plugin 1.1.3+). Shortcode attributes override the settings. A blank primary keeps rust #C75B39. Type, field borders, and error color are edited in the style block on the FlowIframeEmbed Visualforce page.

Dynamic height not resizing

  • Ensure FlowIframeEmbed sends frameHeight messages.
  • Set allowedOrigin correctly when using widget.
  • Check browser console for blocked cross-origin postMessage.

No redirect on completion

Section titled “No redirect on completion”
  • Use endUrl (camelCase), not endurl.
  • Confirm flow reaches FINISHED.
  • Ensure endUrl is a valid absolute HTTPS URL.

Screen is cut off after finish

Section titled “Screen is cut off after finish”

Leave endUrl unset when the parent page should stay put. Package version 1.2.2 and later keeps posting frameHeight after FINISHED, so the iframe follows the screen Salesforce draws next. Older package versions stopped those updates and left the frame at the previous screen’s height.

Works as admin, fails for public users

  • Guest profile likely missing VF/flow/object/Apex permissions.
  • Re-check Site Guest User Profile page access and flow dependencies.
